B'ESTFEST
This is the event you should be sure to grab tickets for if you've selected accommodation in Bucharest for late June, early July. This outdoor music fest is an absolute powerhouse, featuring acts like The Killers, Motorhead, The Faint, and Moby. It doesn't stop there - the entire list of acts is available at the event's website. Taking place on the ROMEXPO grounds, you're sure to find collections of Dj tents, as well as other intrigues set up by the event coordinators. Slather on the sunscreen, grab your camera, and get your best rockface on as you are going to be pumping your fist in the air alongside an estimated 85,000 other concert-goers. Not to be missed!

Just as waves of clubbers are leaving the city after the wildly successful Robolectiv electronic music festival has drawn to a close, a new set of musically minded tourists are flooding the picturesque streets of Bucharest.
EUROPAfest:
This is a jam-packed jazz festival and competition which draws internationally renowned musicians from every corner of the globe - as well as their appreciative fans. The competition closes today, May 13th, but if you're making last minute travel plans be sure to nip over to the area as it's almost guaranteed that musicians will be hanging around the city, playing in bars and cafes and enjoying a few relaxing days post-competition.

GayFest - Gay Pride Festival:
Always a good time, this rollicking parade will span from the 18th to the 24th of May. This year's celebration will feature not only the standard parade, but also a series of workshops and satellite events which are certain to be a great time. Great for the politically minded partygoer, this event is organized by ACCEPT, Romania's LGBT not-for-profit group. There will be art exhibitions, debates on current issues, shows and parties. Frugal travelers will be happy to note that there are no tickets needed for the main event, simply slather on the sunscreen and some rainbow beads, and come out for the party!
